The aroma/smell/fragrance of coffee/joe/brew hung heavy in the air as you stepped/walked/entered into Linda's Diner. The worn/vintage/classic booths lined/ran/filled the room, each one holding memories/stories/tales of diners/patrons/customers past/gone/former. Linda herself was behind/at/near the counter, whistling/humming/singing a cheerful tune as she flipped/smacked/cooked pancakes with practiced ease. It was a scene/picture/view straight out of a movie/television show/old photograph.

A Night at Linda's
The noise was loud/pumping/thumping, and the crowd/people/patrons were dancing/moving/grooving to the beat. Linda, the owner/the bartender/the host, was working hard/hustling/keeping busy behind the bar.
